Week 3 D-1 Orientation
I
believe that it depends on the situation for which type of orientation I use.
But I would have to say that I tend to use relationship-centered orientation than
the other two. I always keep the other
persons feeling in mind when trying to deal with conflicts. I try to compromise
with them as well to end conflict. When dealing with a relationship-centered
orientation you should use assertive
communication. It helps to stay in the middle ground so that everyone’s
opinions and concerns are heard. Since I like to avoid conflict, hearing others
concerns make it easier for me to deal with the conflict altogether. I think
that it important to talk things through and take into count the other persons
feeling when trying to solve the problem. I am often satisfied with the outcome of conflict
with the relationship-centered orientation and I continue to use it most of the
time. I think that I mostly favor this
orientation, but like I said before it depends of the situation.

Hello Roro,
ReplyDeleteI would like to start off by telling you I thought this was an outstanding blog. You had great insight and gave some quality points on this topic. I too tend to use relationship-centered orientation. I also keep other people's feelings in mind when dealing with conflict. I try to see where they are coming from and try to put myself in their shoes. I like how you stated that it is very important to talk things through. I think the same thing because communicationis key in any relationship. Overall, I thought this was a great post. Keep up the good work.
